About David
Hi, I'm David! I’m a student at UC Berkeley, and I’ve been teaching and tutoring Korean since my high school days. My journey really shaped itself when I tutored at a local Korean school, which was actually the Korean school my mom worked at. It was a rewarding experience where my dedication to my students actually earned me the President’s Volunteer Award.
I know how intimidating it can be to pick up a new language, which is why I try to keep my lessons stress-free. I try to make learning Korean natural and stress-free. Having taught since high school, I skip boring memorization and focus on practical conversation and culture.
Typical Lesson Plan
10 mins: Conversational warm-up and review.
20 mins: Core grammar or vocabulary breakdown.
20 mins: Interactive practice (roleplay or K-media clips).
10 mins: Pronunciation polish and weekly wrap-up.
