About Danielle
As a voice teacher, I strive to inspire confidence in my students by creating a positive and supportive learning environment. As a seasoned voice teacher, my approach to lesson planning centers on creating a customized experience that meets the unique needs and goals of each individual student. Here is an example of a typical lesson plan I might create for a student:
Warm-Up Exercises: We begin with vocal warm-ups to prepare the voice for singing. This may include lip trills, humming, or vocal sirens to help with breathing, resonance, and vocal flexibility.
Technique Development: I work with the student on specific vocal techniques, such as proper breathing, posture, vocal placement, and diction. We may also work on specific challenges that the student is facing in their singing, such as range, tone, or vibrato.
Repertoire Development: I help the student choose repertoire that is appropriate for their skill level and musical goals. We work on building the student's repertoire by selecting songs that challenge their vocal abilities and stylistic preferences.
Interpretation and Performance: We focus on interpreting the lyrics and emotional content of the song, helping the student connect with the material on a deeper level. We work on stage presence, expression, and overall performance skills to prepare the student for public performance.
