About Leonardo
I have been working and working in the visual effects and animation industry for about twenty years. I have worked in Italy and abroad, in various cities Pisa, Paris, Rome, Brussels, London. 3D today, especially with the spread of AR and VR but also of NFTs, has great potential. The complexity of 3D graphics programmes today can be a limit for people who want to pursue this career or simply a limit to their curiosity to go on studying these software. We will try to reduce the complexity of these software to zero, using a "top to bottom" approach

NOTE: This course is about Maya Bifrost, so previous knowledge of Maya is assumed! My teaching approach is based on a "top-to-bottom" methodology: starting with a structured overview of the Bifrost system, it then proceeds to an in-depth analysis of its technical and application components. The goal is to make a complex tool like Bifrost accessible by breaking the course down into functional, production-oriented units: physical simulations, procedural geometry generation, scattering, VFX effects, compound management, and graph optimisation. The lessons are designed for professionals, technicians, and advanced students who wish to integrate Bifrost into their Maya workflow, with a focus on production efficiency and best practices. Each session includes hands-on exercises and real-world production use cases, aiming to provide not only technical skills but also a solid understanding of the production context in which Bifrost can reach its full potential.
