About Uliana
Hello, my name is Uliana, I recently graduated with a BFA in acting. I was born and raised in Russia and moved to Canada when I was 12. Now I freely use both languages but when I was learning English it was very difficult. It can be hard to transition and understand another language if you have minimal practice with the native speakers. It certainly was for me. This is why having someone on your side to guide you in your language journey can be very helpful. Whether you are looking to improve your grade in a class or practising for a trip or learning how to propose to your partner in their own language without any accent (Yes this has happened before), having someone who can guide and encourage you creates a safe space to fail boldly and succeed bravely.

I have experience with children of various ages and young adult. I believe that every person is unique and where one individual can memorize a lesson just from hearing it another person might need to understand it through and through. I am a goal oriented person. In a class, I would talk to the student and determine why they are taking the course, what is the best result they are hoping for and how hard are they willing to work. The class is then divided into four sections reading, oral, written and listening. It is important to know where your strengths are and reinforce them. However, it is also important to know where your weaknesses are so that you can improve. In this class, a student will get a grasp on the language from every direction.
