About Jean
I have always liked helping other people understand the subjects I love. From Highschool, I have frequently helped friends and classmates to succeed. With online learning, I created a youtube channel which helped several of my classmates to pass our difficult physics course. I have also assisted in teaching a programming class to students who don't have experience with computers.

I believe the best way to learn is to first build understanding and intuition, before the crucial step of practising what was learnt with exercises. I also believe in a personalised approach, since everyone learns in different ways. Lessons will therefore vary depending on who is being thaught, as well as the topic at hand. For example, some people are big-picture people who need to know where what they're learning fits in. Other people would rather focus on the subject at hand, without other distractions. I can also teach in English as well as Afrikaans.

From what I've seen, Jean has a very deep understanding of Mathematics and Physics and comprehends both subject matters on a very high level. His passion for both also makes his explanations surprisingly gripping and interesting even for those who are less mathematically inclined.
