My personal experience has provided me with insights on how languages are taught in different countries, being Spanish in the UK or English in Spain. Both experiences were lacking the comprehension and the subsequent ability to transmit such knowledge to students in an efficient manner.
If this happens to be your case, then you might be on the right place.
My lessons will be based on the student’s ability with the aim of building a strong base (indicative) to then moving forward onto more complex areas of the language (subjunctive & imperative) as well as introducing the “sense” into the students mind. E.g: in Spanish objects have sexes ‘verbally speaking’ a chair is feminine whereas a pencil is masculine, hence the phrase would be worded different. This is an example of a small but crucial thing which sadly the majority of Spanish professors struggle with, which is then, reflected onto students. The only trick to master this is experience and there is nothing better than doing so with a native speaker.
