Hello, my name is Prerith and I am currently studying biology and chemistry. I specialize in helping upper middle school students and high schools students understand these variations of science so they feel prepared and confident when taking a test. I break down science topics into analogies which helps the student understand the concepts rather than memorizing. I use active recall and practice testing to assess where each student is and it has been proven that this is much more effective than passive review. A typical lesson starts with me reviewing the previous lesson to reinforce memory, introduce a new topic with an analogy, use practice problems to guide the student and work through the mistakes together, use a quiz to assess the understanding and simulate testing conditions, and assign personalized homework to target the weak points from the lesson. I am an exam-prep specialist so every lesson is built with test performance and I track different questions the student is missing, so I can adjust future lessons accordingly. This is mainly focused on kinds in 7-10th grade who need support in general sciences and need help preparing for an exam.
