About Rhea
I have 8 years of experience teaching biology to high school and undergraduate learners. I hold a B.Sc in Life Sciences and an M.Sc in Molecular Genetics, providing expertise in cellular mechanisms, genetics, and ecological systems. This background allows me to deliver lessons that are both comprehensive and engaging.
My teaching philosophy emphasises interactive learning, conceptual clarity, and structured guidance. I integrate diagrams, experiments, and discussion to help students understand complex ideas while building confidence and curiosity.
Beyond teaching, I stay engaged with scientific research, laboratory work, and ecological studies. Watching learners progress from uncertainty to confident understanding is incredibly rewarding. Biology becomes inspiring when students appreciate the intricacies of life from molecules to ecosystems. My lessons cover cell biology, molecular genetics, physiology, ecology, evolution, and organismal biology. I focus on creating a strong conceptual foundation through visual aids, guided experiments, and real-world examples. Lessons encourage students to ask questions, explore connections, and develop problem-solving skills that make learning both meaningful and memorable.
Lesson plans are designed according to student levels. Beginners study cell structure, DNA basics, physiology, and simple ecological concepts. Intermediate learners focus on molecular pathways, genetic mechanisms, and population ecology. Advanced learners engage with gene regulation, evolutionary theory, molecular techniques, and ecosystem modelling. Each session combines structured explanations, interactive exercises, and discussion to reinforce understanding and confidence.
Biology lessons also strengthen analytical thinking, observational skills, and reasoning. Students gain the ability to interpret data, analyse experimental outcomes, and apply knowledge in practical contexts. My goal is to support learners in developing mastery, curiosity, and confidence in understanding the living world.
