About Phoebe
Hi! My name is Phoebe and I am currently an MSc Public Health student. I am originally from the United States, but have also lived in Spain and the United Kingdom before moving abroad to pursue my master’s degree.
I studied Biology in my undergraduate degree, along with Education, Spanish, Global Health, and Dance. During my time at university, I also taught ballet classes, which gave me early experience in planning engaging lessons and working with students of different ages and abilities.
Last year, I lived in the Canary Islands where I taught English to students aged 3–13, further strengthening my teaching skills in a multilingual and diverse classroom environment.
In my free time, I enjoy baking, reading, and going for long walks. I’m passionate about education and love helping students build confidence and enjoy learning. I hope to connect with you!

I typically offer 1-hour tutoring sessions, fully tailored to each student’s needs, goals, and learning style. I believe learning should be both engaging and deeply rewarding, and I aim to build confidence as well as subject mastery in every lesson.
I have completed multiple TESOL and language pedagogy courses, which have strengthened my ability to teach effectively across different backgrounds, ages, and learning abilities. I have worked with highly diverse students in both academic and language-learning contexts.
My tutoring experience includes high school and A-level Biology, as well as college-level Biology and general science courses. I focus on breaking down complex scientific concepts into clear, accessible explanations while encouraging active thinking, curiosity, and long-term understanding rather than memorisation.
