About Fiona
I have always had twin interests in education: teaching Biology and Science, and overcoming barriers in education, specifically those that relate to AS, anxiety, and dyslexia. I have had to develop strategies and learning styles that support these students, ensuring that they have every opportunity to reach their potential and succeed in their exams.
I am a keen sailor and have sailed my boat internationally. I love cats as well, and when I go sailing our cat comes with us. I enjoy reading and all things arts and crafts.

Hi, my name is Fiona. I have a BSc (Hons) 2.1 in Zoology from Glasgow University and a P.G.C.E. from Oxford University. I have taught Leaving Cert and A Levels for over 20 years. My lessons last one hour.
Developing positive relationships with my students allows me to tailor my lessons to their specific needs, build their confidence, and ensure they can ask questions. I combine being friendly and approachable with high expectations. I focus on developing an understanding of how and why a biological process occurs; and then interpreting relevant exam questions, thus raising achievement.
