About Joshua
Hello everyone! I'm excited to tutor because I have always loved the process of learning and have a passion for the subjects I teach.
I currently teach AP Biology and 9th grade biology, and offer tutoring on the side. I have experience as an adjunct professor of biology and marine biology at the community college level. I have a Master's degree in biological oceanography with a focus on microbial ecology and molecular biology. I also offer several years' of experience as a laboratory scientist in the fields of microbiology and molecular biology.
I look forward to helping students on their journey toward AP Biology test prep, learning biology, anatomy and physiology, microbiology, or marine sciences.

My teaching style consists of explaining and reviewing tough concepts, having students model and diagram concepts, and then working on practice questions for reinforcement.
I keep lessons as focused and streamlined as possible and we usually work on one to three concepts each lesson.
I offer tutoring for high school-level students, college students, and adult learners.
