About Simon
My passion for biology emerged from a fascination with life’s diversity, from molecular interactions to ecosystem dynamics. I pursued a B.Sc in Biology and an M.Sc in Molecular Biology to gain comprehensive theoretical knowledge and hands-on laboratory experience. Over 11 years, I have worked with learners of diverse levels, helping them build conceptual clarity, analytical thinking, and a genuine curiosity about living systems.
I adopt a student-centered, adaptable teaching approach, focusing on individualized guidance and paced learning. Lessons combine diagrams, interactive exercises, real-world examples, and reflective discussion to foster deep understanding. Encouraging observation, inquiry, and critical analysis is central to my methodology, ensuring learners develop both skills and confidence in their knowledge.
Beyond teaching, I engage with contemporary research, ecological studies, and laboratory projects to enrich lessons with real-world relevance. Witnessing students transform from confusion to mastery, gaining critical thinking skills and an appreciation for life sciences, is profoundly rewarding. Students are encouraged to observe patterns, ask questions, and think critically about life processes, fostering both comprehension and curiosity. Every lesson is structured to combine explanation, hands-on practice, and discussion, allowing learners to internalize knowledge while remaining engaged and motivated throughout.
I tailor each session to the student’s background and learning goals. Beginners focus on foundational terminology, processes, and basic experimentation skills. Intermediate learners explore genetics problems, physiological systems, and ecological relationships with analytical exercises. Advanced students engage with molecular pathways, experimental design, data analysis, and research-oriented projects, gaining proficiency in understanding complex biological interactions.
