About Isla
I completed a B.Sc in Life Sciences followed by an M.Sc in Molecular Biology, which deepened my understanding of both foundational and advanced biological concepts. Over 11 years of teaching experience, I have helped students develop clarity, curiosity, and confidence in biology through structured and supportive instruction. My teaching philosophy centres on patience and adaptability. I believe students learn best when concepts are explained visually and logically, with room for discussion and questions. I tailor lessons to individual learning styles and academic goals. Outside teaching, I stay connected to biology through scientific reading and ongoing learning. This allows me to bring fresh perspectives into lessons. Teaching biology is meaningful to me because it helps students understand life processes and develop lasting scientific curiosity.

Biology lessons are designed to help students understand living systems in a clear and engaging way. I guide learners through cell biology, genetics, human physiology, ecology, and basic biotechnology using structured explanations and visual reasoning. Lessons connect biological concepts to real-life examples, helping students retain information more effectively. Beginners build foundations in terminology and basic processes. Intermediate learners focus on systems, diagrams, and application-based questions. Advanced students work on exam preparation, structured answers, and deeper conceptual understanding. Lessons are interactive and paced to ensure comfort and clarity. Biology lessons also encourage curiosity and observation. Students learn to think scientifically and appreciate how living systems function together. My aim is to help learners feel confident, interested, and capable when studying biology.
