Teaching Methodology and Techniques:
1.) Assessment and Goal Setting: Before starting the tutoring sessions, I assess the student's existing knowledge and identify their strengths and areas of improvement. Based on this assessment, I work with the student to set specific learning goals and develop a plan to achieve them.
2.) Interactive Learning: I encourage active participation from students during the lessons. This includes asking questions, problem-solving exercises, discussions, and collaborative activities to reinforce learning.
3.) Continuous Feedback: I provide regular feedback and constructive criticism to help students identify areas for improvement and build confidence in their abilities.
4.) Conceptual Understanding: Rather than just focusing on rote memorization, I emphasize building a strong conceptual understanding of the subject. I use real-world examples and practical applications to help students relate to the material and see its relevance. As well as, I incorporate visual aids, multimedia resources, and educational technology to enhance the learning experience and make complex topics more accessible.
Typical Lesson Plan:
Introduction: Reviewing previous concepts and connecting them to the new topic to create a smooth transition.
Concept Exploration: Introducing the new topic, explaining key concepts, and using visuals and examples to enhance understanding.
Interactive Learning: Engaging the student in discussions and activities to reinforce learning and encourage critical thinking.
Practice: Providing guided practice exercises to apply the concepts learned.
Q&A and Discussion: Encouraging the student to ask questions and address any doubts they may have. lastly, assigning practice tasks for the next session.
