About Brandon
I help biology students turn confusing lectures, dense slides, and stressful exams into clear concepts, organized study plans, and more confident test preparation. I am a UCF Biomedical Sciences graduate with a neuroscience-focused background, strong academic performance, research experience, and experience presenting scientific work in academic settings.
My background includes biology, microbiology, molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, neuroscience, psychology, and pre-health coursework. I work especially well with high school, AP Biology, college intro biology, and pre-health students who want patient support from someone who understands both the science and the stress of difficult classes.
I also have hands-on teaching and mentoring experience as a peer tutor, swim instructor, student leader, club founder, and volunteer mentor for high school student programs through CBYX/CIEE. These roles taught me how to explain challenging material clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and create a supportive space where students feel comfortable asking questions.
I know what it feels like to be stuck, confused, or overwhelmed by a difficult class, because I have also benefited from tutoring and academic support myself. My goal is to help students feel capable, respected, and prepared while building real understanding instead of just memorizing facts.

My lessons are personalized to your class, exam, assignment, and current level of understanding. We can review lecture slides, break down diagrams, prepare for quizzes and exams, practice active recall, organize study plans, and connect details back to the bigger picture.
A typical lesson starts by identifying what feels confusing or stressful. Then we build a clear explanation step by step, work through examples, and end with a practical plan for what to review next. I focus on helping students understand why biological processes work, not just memorize isolated facts.
I tutor biology, microbiology, molecular biology, cell biology, and genetics, with support for high school biology, AP Biology, college intro biology, and pre-health coursework. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, organized, and concept-focused. My goal is for students to leave each session feeling clearer, more confident, and better prepared for their next assignment or exam.
