About Sophie
Kia Ora! My name's Sophie, and I am a 20 year old student studying towards a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Victoria University of Wellington.
I am passionate about Biology in general - specifically the nitty-gritty cellular processes, but also at the macroscopic level too! Plants, animals, you name it. NCEA is where it all started for me and hopefully for you as well.
Studying biology can seem confusing and complicated at times, but it has so many applications in the world as a whole. That is why it is important to get a good understanding of the concepts behind NCEA standards.
Particular topics I am experienced with are:
- Plant and Animal Adaptation (Level 2)
- Gene Expression (Level 2)
- Ecological Communities (Level 2)
- Genetic Variation and Change (Level 2)
- Trends in Human Evolution (Level 3)

I am also flexible about the length/timing of tutoring sessions, although generally around ~1 hour is a good length of time (negotiable).
