About Laura
I have a 1st Class BSc in Zoology with Honours from the University of Exeter, including receiving a Dean's Commendation for Outstanding Academic Achievement.
I have experience of mentoring undergraduate students on a variety of bioscience courses, including assisting with exam preparation and assignments.
I have experience of mentoring an A-Level student to develop their language base before a speaking exam.
I have experience of teaching secondary school students, through leading science club sessions at a local college.
I have experience of private tutoring in the home with a GCSE student.

I tutor students online in Biology up to A-Level standard, and in Zoology up to undergraduate level.
Alongside revising difficult content, and targeting any problems the student may be having, I aim to encourage my students to realise their potential. This can be achieved by helping them to set goals, suggesting different ways to approach their learning, and testing their understanding.
Students are encouraged to ask questions and actively participate in the lesson; topics can be covered as many times as necessary to make sure the student is comfortable with it!
My teaching aims to give my students more confidence in knowing how to approach their studies, which they can then continue to use throughout their education.
