About James
My name is James, I have been playing guitar since I was 12 years old, and hold a degree in Jazz Performance from UCT. I have played in many bands, touring South Africa, playing on some of the country's biggest stages, and recording with big name artists. In my years as a student of guitar, I have noticed how important an inspiring instructor is. I have been lucky enough to study under some of the best players in the country, including the late Alvin Dyers, Darryl Andrews, and many more. It is now my responsibility to pass the knowledge on.

I believe that a good system is the secret to getting results. With a 1/3 balance of repertoire, technique, and theory, we will be able to cover all corners of what makes the instrument sing.
I am most experienced with beginners to intermediate. I believe that my role as a teacher is more in line with a mentor than a lecturer. Rome wasn't built in a day, and nor was it built on its own.
