I am an experienced teacher/tutor. I have been working as an English, Spanish and Portuguese as a Foreign Language Teacher, teaching children, teenagers, and adults of all levels (basic, intermediate and advanced) for 7 year when I decided to stop and dedicate myself to other activities.
Recently, I have passed all Level 2 Trinity College ESOL exams, I have got a Cambridge CELTA certificate, and I have resumed my career in the education area.
After I finished my CELTA training, I got involved in the European Erasmus + Programme for a month, working as a resident teacher in Valencia, Spain. I was also offered a position working for UKLC/Dean Close School in Cheltenham, again as a resident teacher/activity leader to Italian young learners.
My classes are usually based on the students' needs and goals. They are given using a large variety of materials, most of them produced and/or selected by me. The lessons are planned to last from 45 to 60 minutes.
I find both Communicative Language Teaching (CLT), and Lexical Approach combined with a great possibility of choice of methods such as Present, Practice, Produce (PPP); Task-based Learning (TBL); Skills and Systems (S&S); and Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), the finest ways to teach.
All of those years of experience enabled me to quick assess and understand my learners' needs and difficulties, so I can come up with smart and interesting solutions, always taking into account the student's well-being.
