About Rhea
With more than 8 years of experience in teaching flute, I have worked with students from different age groups and skill levels, including school children, college students, and working professionals. My teaching style is friendly, patient, and structured. I begin with breathing exercises and sound production techniques, then gradually introduce scales, rhythm patterns, articulation, and musical expression.
I adapt my lessons according to each student’s learning speed and goals. In addition to flute performance, I teach music theory, staff notation, ear training, and improvisation basics so students understand music deeply. I believe practice with proper guidance leads to steady improvement.
I regularly evaluate progress and give constructive feedback. My special strength is helping students improve tone quality and finger speed. I aim to make learning flute simple, enjoyable, and rewarding for every student.

My flute teaching methodology is based on Adaptation to Learning Styles, Flexibility, Collaboration, and Positivity to ensure every student progresses with confidence and clarity. I begin by understanding each student’s musical background, goals, and preferred way of learning, whether visual, auditory, or practice-based.
Based on this, I design structured lessons that focus on essential flute fundamentals such as breath control, embouchure development, posture alignment, tone clarity, finger coordination, articulation, and rhythm accuracy. I use step-by-step exercises, long-tone practice, and scale drills to build strong technical foundations before introducing expressive phrasing and dynamics. Flexibility allows me to adjust lesson pace and repertoire according to individual progress, whether the student is preparing for exams, performances, or learning as a hobby.
Collaboration is encouraged through open discussion, shared goal setting, and regular progress reviews. Positivity remains central to my teaching, creating a supportive space where mistakes are treated as opportunities to improve. Alongside flute instruction, I also teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm training, ear development, and performance skills to ensure complete musical growth.
