About Sophie
Hi, my name is Sophie. I am a Biology Graduate from the University of Sussex. Whilst at University, I worked as an A Level and GCSE Biology tutor as a part-time job.
Since completing my degree, I am pursuing tutoring full-time, as I am incredibly passionate about Biology and I enjoy working with students and teaching.
In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, yoga, spending time in nature and knitting. I look forward to hearing from you. :)

About the lesson

I have a friendly and approachable attitude to tutoring, working with students each week to focus on specific topics that they are struggling with. I have a particular focus on exam technique and past papers to help students reach their goals and achieve the grades they need.
Lessons are an hour long (with the option to extend to an hour and a half). They are usually structured by first recapping any additional work from the week before, then a recap and discussion on their topic of choice. Then ending on working through practice questions together, before giving the students questions to work through independently in their own time.
Having achieved a high 2:1 during my Biology degree, I am confident and clear in tutoring Biology to any level. With previous science qualifications and two years of tutoring experience, I am also comfortable in tutoring other Sciences and Geography from GCSE and below.
