About Samantha Meliora
In 2018, I chose to study IT, driven by my passion for solving puzzles and understanding technology. My curiosity about diverse tech environments led me to explore various industries, such as pharmaceuticals, telemedicine, banking, and business, and take on roles like full-stack developer, QA automation specialist, and DevOps engineer.
Volunteering with children at Yayasan Kasih Anak Kanker Indonesia (YKAKI) and orphanages, teaching programming or English, sparked my love for education. After graduating, I continued this passion by teaching kids programming, while also challenging myself as a QA Analyst.
Currently, I’m diving into cybersecurity, driven by concerns about Indonesia's digital safety. I'm part of the Digital Talent Scholarship by Kominfo and seeking scholarships for a master’s in cybersecurity. My goal is to become an expert, offer local training, and launch "Melek," a startup focused on research and solutions. I aspire to collaborate with KOMINFO and BRIN to enhance Indonesia’s cybersecurity.

Teaching Method and Techniques:
As a tutor, I conduct all sessions via Zoom to make lessons accessible and interactive from anywhere. Sessions are recorded, so students and parents can review lessons later, reinforcing key concepts. After each class, I provide a comprehensive report for parents, outlining progress, strengths, and areas for improvement. Sessions last 45 minutes for kids and 60 minutes for teenagers and adults, ensuring optimal engagement and focus for each age group.
Typical Lesson Plan:
Before beginning, each student completes an initial assessment to determine the appropriate starting level in my structured curriculum. I offer a progressive sequence, starting from Beginner Level 1 through Expert Level 5. Each level includes 20 well-crafted lessons that build coding skills in a structured way, focusing on understanding fundamental concepts and gradually advancing to more complex topics. The curriculum is tailored to keep students motivated, challenged, and steadily progressing.
What Sets Me Apart:
I emphasize understanding over memorization, ensuring that each student can grasp and apply coding concepts in practical ways. Lessons are available in English, Indonesian, or as a bilingual class to support diverse language needs. I donate 3% of every session’s proceeds to provide coding education for underprivileged students in remote areas of Indonesia, helping build coding schools for those who lack access to resources. By joining my class, you are not only investing in your own learning journey but also supporting my goal to bring coding opportunities to children in underserved communities. Together, we can make a meaningful impact!

I welcome beginners with zero coding experience, kids as young as 8, and adults curious about coding or interested in transitioning to a tech career.
