About Kavithan
Growing up, maths did not always come naturally to me and I understand how frustrating and overwhelming it can feel when concepts are not explained in the right way. I had several tutors throughout school, but it was one tutor in particular who helped maths finally click for me by focusing on understanding rather than memorisation. That experience completely changed the way I viewed maths and played a big part in me later choosing to study Mathematics at university.
Because of this, I especially enjoy helping students who may lack confidence or feel stuck with maths. I aim to explain topics in a patient, supportive and easy-to-understand way so students can build both their skills and confidence over time.
I currently work in Pensions in a professional office environment, where I continue to develop strong analytical and communication skills.

I am a BSc Mathematics graduate offering GCSE maths tutoring for students who want to improve their understanding, confidence and exam performance. I understand that maths can feel overwhelming for many students, so I focus on explaining topics in a simple and structured way.
My lessons are tailored to each student’s ability and learning style. I aim to create a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions and working through problems step by step. Lessons typically last 1 hour and can include topic revision, homework support, exam practice and past paper questions.
I offer online lessons and local tutoring in Surrey. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them feel more confident in maths overall.
