My Approach to Tutoring My goal as a tutor is to make Business Studies feel clear, relevant, and approachable — even when the topics seem complex or overwhelming. I believe in teaching with empathy, simplicity, and real-world application. I create a space where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and build true confidence in their understanding. My Teaching Style: I use a mix of: Step-by-step explanations (especially for finance topics) Real-life examples (like how brands market themselves or how banks manage risk) Visual aids (diagrams, slides, flowcharts) Active discussion — I encourage students to think critically, not just memorise Lesson Structure: Each lesson is tailored to the student’s needs and learning pace. A typical session is 60 minutes, but I’m flexible — I can offer 45-minute or 90-minute sessions depending on the topic or preference. My Background & Experience: I recently completed my MA (Hons) in Business and Finance from Heriot-Watt University. I’ve studied and applied topics like corporate finance, marketing strategy, entrepreneurship, and financial ethics — and I bring that academic and real-world experience into every lesson. I’ve also supported classmates and younger students throughout university.
