About Gabrielle
I’ve loved Latin, Greek and English Literature since my school days and I still get a thrill from reading Virgil, Ovid and Homer in the original languages. I studied Classics at Cambridge University and have spent 10+ years helping students discover that ancient languages are not dry puzzles but a way into stories, ideas and history that still shape our world.
I’m patient, encouraging and organized and I enjoy seeing students grow in confidence. Outside teaching, I enjoy walking and playing tennis. I teach online and look forward to meeting you.

My lessons are structured, although relaxed, and tailored to each student’s goals. I start with a short assessment to find gaps, then build secure foundations in grammar and vocabulary before moving on to translation and literature. I use clear explanations, regular practice sentences and past exam papers and I teach students how to tackle unseen passages and set texts with confidence. Every lesson ends with a short summary and practice to do before we next meet.
I teach online. Lessons usually last 60 minutes and I set and mark homework.
I studied Classics at Cambridge University and have 10+ years’ experience tutoring from ages 10 to 16.
My lessons suit students aged [10] and over, including those preparing for Common Entrance, GCSE, IGCSE, A Level, IB, or HSC and VCE Latin, as well as adults learning Latin for pleasure.
