About Damian
What really sets me apart is that after leading a math department of 17 teachers and overseeing the progress of over 850 pupils, I understand how schools actually work — the hidden patterns, the exam board politics, the unspoken rules of admissions. I've written 13+ exams for ISEB. I've designed 11+ papers. I've sat on the other side of the desk.
That means when you're worried about an issue with a teacher, confused about options, or navigating a school change, I'm not guessing. I've been there. I can help you have the right conversations, ask the right questions, and get the right outcomes. I see myself as part of your team — alongside you, not just someone who turns up once a week to mark homework.

I'm also Cambridge educated. I know how intimidating those admissions processes are. I also know exactly how to prepare for them — including the latest changes (like Oxford's big entrance exam shake-up this year). I keep close contacts at several exam boards so I can spot subtle shifts that give my students a strategic edge.

I don't just teach math. I help students love it.
I'm a Cambridge-trained engineer and former Head of Mathematics at one of the UK's top independent schools. I was on track to become a deputy head — but I stepped away because my real joy is being in the trenches with students, watching their faces light up when a tricky concept finally clicks, and building the kind of confidence that changes how they see themselves.
My students genuinely look forward to our lessons. They tell me math has gone from being their worst subject to their favorite. That's not magic — it's because I meet them where they are, I listen, I make math human, and I never forget that behind every grade is a young person who needs to feel capable.
