About Mara
I have finished my studies in Education Studies and completed a CELTA course - Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages. Ever since I have been doing mostly one-to-one tuition as well as supporting teaching in primary schools. I am also fluent in Portuguese and Spanish and have a basic understanding of Italian.

Students' preferences and motives for learning English are at the centre of my teaching. Lessons are usually structured covering the main aspects of language learning, such as grammar, vocabulary, reading, listening, speaking and writing. Students may also want something less structured, in that case a good chat is always a wonderful way of getting comfortable with the language! Finally, I like to provide fun and engaging lessons that match students' personalities and needs.

Mara is been helping me with my English for over a year and I am so glad I found her. She's a very professional, patient, engaging and very knowledgeable person. Her classes are fun and effective. Gladly I have been able to improve my writing and speaking which is so important for my university studies.
I am an Italian citizen that moved to England to study and since Mara is teaching me, my university work it's been written on a much better level. Thank you Mara.View more recommendations
