About Mike
I help students of all abilities achieve their full potential in Mathematics (and Science). I am a fully qualified and experienced teacher (QTS) and have spent the last fifteen years working in secondary education.
My passion for Mathematics and Science was inspired by the excellent teachers I had when at school myself and I believe that the most important ingredient to learning is enjoyment of the subject.
I am currently a teacher of Mathematics and Science at KS3 and KS4 in a large and successful secondary school.
I have been tutoring for over 10 years for pupils at KS1 to KS5 and I have an excellent understanding of the Curriculum.

If a learner is not reaching their true potential, it's probably not their fault. I make it my first job to identify specific areas where confidence needs building.
By concentrating on what a student can do, and enjoys doing, I can develop an interest in Mathematics as a whole. I strive to develop a student’s desire to learn and this is achieved by the provision of a fun and safe environment in which they have the opportunity to discover and enjoy Maths.

Perfect! Ignited an enthusiasm in the subject for my son who can't wait for the next lesson.
- As a year six pupil, young Dylan has a lot of the skills that he’s going to need in year seven. As he progresses into secondary school I think he’ll be able to develop these skills and be very successful in maths.Mike's response :
