About Shereen
As I mentioned in my profile, I have been an Employer Mentor for 3 years, offering professional advice to Undergraduate students who are looking for career coaching and development. I help them to understand the industry they want to step into and how they might get there.
Throughout my own studies and career I have a track record of being hardworking, efficient and attentive to detail. My skills lie particularly in organisation and management of a multitude of tasks. Further to this I am a friendly and supportive manager/colleague who always tries to maintain good relationships with those around me.
My aim with tutoring is to guide others in the right direction and help them focus their ideas and passion into something they can turn into a career.

I work as General Manager of a Venue in Edinburgh, overseeing all operational activities. This covers areas such as staffing, events, marketing, catering, finances, facilities, maintenance and general day-to-day activities.
My background is in Event Management working across a range of event types from weddings, to corporate events, to private celebrations and large conferences.
I have been an Employer Mentor for the past 3 years and use my own skills and knowledge to help others with finding the right job for them. I do this by assessing what their passions and skills are, where their motivation comes from and what they ultimately want to achieve in their career. From there I look at what opportunities are available and together with the student, we decide on the right steps to get there.
I also work with those who are new in their job roles and coach them on best practices for keeping the job and succeeding in it.
I can offer advice, practical support and coaching.
I’m a young progressional with experience, knowledge and a love for helping others achieve their goals.
