About Taryn
My musical journey began over 7 years ago, when I first sat at a piano and felt drawn to the way music could express emotions without words. Over time, piano became a source of comfort, creativity, and inspiration in my life, and teaching became a way for me to share that experience with others. Watching students develop their own musical voice and seeing the joy it brings them is one of the most meaningful rewards of teaching for me. As a teacher, I am gentle, encouraging, and committed to the progress of each student. I take the time to understand their feelings, motivations, and learning needs so lessons feel supportive, enjoyable, and productive. I believe in creating a positive atmosphere where students feel safe to explore, try new things, and grow without pressure. I encourage expression, persistence, and self-belief—qualities that make students stronger musicians and more confident individuals. Outside lessons, I continue to deepen my musical knowledge by exploring new repertoire, studying teaching techniques, and connecting with other musicians. I love experimenting with different styles, composing short pieces, and attending musical events that inspire me. Teaching piano is not just a skill I share—it is a heartfelt part of who I am, and I feel grateful to guide students on their musical journey.

My piano lessons are designed to help students enjoy music while developing strong technique and expressive playing skills. I believe that students learn best when lessons are warm, engaging, and tailored to their individual personality and goals. Each session aims to build a connection not only with the instrument, but also with the joy and creativity behind making music. I guide learners through all levels—beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Beginners learn posture, hand position, note reading, rhythm, basic music theory, and simple pieces that build confidence and spark excitement. Intermediate students enhance technique, explore dynamics, musical expression, sight-reading, and a wider repertoire. Advanced students focus on performance skills, stylistic interpretation, improvisation, musical identity, and refining technique. I integrate theory in a natural and accessible way so students understand how music works and gain independence as musicians. My goal is to help students feel proud and connected to the music they create. I want them to leave each lesson feeling inspired, confident, and emotionally fulfilled, knowing that they are not just learning an instrument—they are discovering a lifelong form of expression and creativity.
