About Akito
I started playing the cello at the age of 5; from the age of eight to thirteen I studied at the renowned Toho Gakuen School of Music in Japan under the tutelage of Hakuro Mori. At thirteen I was accepted to study with Pal Banda at the Purcell School of Music in London. I completed my studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2019 where I studied with the Head of Strings, Louise Hopkins, and received 1st class distinction in both Bachelor and Master of music. My chamber music coaches include Caroline Palmer, Carole Presland, Adrian Brendel and Ursula Smith.
I am currently a cello teacher at Fireworks School and a member of the Mitsu Trio. I play on a Henry Hill cello on generous loan from a private individual.

I am a professional, award-winning cellist based in London who holds Masters Degree with distinction from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. I have also worked at one of the most significant privately funded music school in Shanghai as a Creative Director, where I was teaching students from all ages and levels.
I believe in flexible and a friendly approach to learning an instrument which can motivate students to improve in a most effective way. I use materials from ABRSM and Suzuki method and my own!
All ages and levels from beginners to semi-professional welcome!

-40pounds/hour + travel expense (within London)
-30pounds/half an hour + travel expense
-I live in East London and can travel to students flats, houses.
