About Emily
I'm Emily!
I was born in the UK, and have lived in Australia for most of my life. I love travelling the world, and have spent most of my time travelling throughout Asia, South America and Europe.
I speak Intermediate level Portuguese, so in my experience I have worked a lot with Brazilian students.
I believe one of the most important things as a teacher is to be open, honest, to have good communication, and build strong rapport with students. I make sure that lessons are a safe place, and students always feel comfortable and confident when asking questions.
Not only will lessons be engaging, but they will be practical and valuable learning experiences. I go above and beyond to ensure you can expand your learning, by providing tips on movies, podcasts, songs, and additional learning methods you can use in your spare time.

I am qualified to teach English to adults, and I make sure that my classes are practical, fun and worth every penny.
I use engaging materials which are tailored to each student's interests. I am committed to achieving what each student wants to achieve, for example conversational English - maybe if you are travelling, academic English - maybe if you're going to study here, and workplace/formal English - incase you need to scrub up on your English for your job.
My classes will be structured to your needs.
I offer an initial 30 minute 'lesson' to establish your needs and get to know you.
After that, I offer 1 or 2 hour lessons, whatever you prefer.
Lessons online, or face-to-face (in Byron Bay, NSW - from March 2022).
I am here to work with your needs, so I make sure we have a safe learning environment and build strong communication.

$25/hour for one person.
