About Jo
I lived in Italy for 4 years and have recently moved back to Manchester. I know how difficult it can be to learn a language as you are living in the country that speaks it.
I received my CELTA qualification in 2017 and have been teaching in some way or another ever since. During my time in Italy, I realised how complicated daily life can be in a second language. I want to help people in the UK feel confident in every situation they find themselves in; going to the shops, taking a driving test, going to school, working in an office, etc.

- Speaking is the key to learning any language so I centre my lessons around conversation.
- A typical lesson for me is 1 hour, but can continue for 1.5 or 2 hours, depending on the student.
- I am CELTA qualified so use all the methods and techniques I learned on the course and the 4+ years of experience I have teaching to tailor each lesson and course to the student(s) I teach.
- My lessons are for anyone who wants to improve their English for work, school, or life in the UK. I can help you find your language goals and reach them by the end of a course.
