About Meera
During the last three years, I have taught English to students from Spain, Vietnam, Italy, Sri Lanka, Kazakstan and more. My experience has varied from teaching in a primary school in Vietnam to UK summer camps for teenagers to small group classes in academies in Spain. The majority of my teaching has been to Spanish students, so I understand all the language points that these specific students find difficult. I also specialize in preparing students for the PET, FCE and CAE Cambridge exams.

A lot of my teaching methodology is based around the Cambridge English CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), as these teaching methods have been proven successful around the world. It is a very communicative approach; we actively engage with reading and listening sources, and we use them to practice discussion skills. For this reason, the lessons involve plenty of speaking. Correction of grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation errors is also an essential part of the lessons. The lessons will generally be entirely in English, as I only use Spanish translation when necessary.
