About JC
Before becoming an English teacher I worked in healthcare and financial services. I really enjoyed my previous career but teaching English is the best job I have ever had!
I love planning lessons that are personalised to my students interests and meeting people from all over the world, but most of all I love seeing the progress that my students make!
I have helped students prepare for IELTS and school exams, prepare for interviews and new jobs, and helped people become better at general conversation.
In my free time I enjoy hiking, reading books, cooking new recipes and trying new restaurants.

I am a CELTA qualified ESL teacher from the UK. I have been teaching English to adults and children for two years and my my lessons are suitable for all levels.
I am friendly, patient and helpful, I like to get to know my students so I can teach lessons that help you achieve your goals but that are also interesting and about subjects that you enjoy.
I like to encourage my students to speak as much as possible, and I like to use newspaper articles, blogs and YouTube or movie clips to help students learn.
I will cover a wide range of topics and focus on pronunciation, grammar and building vocabulary so you can learn to speak English fluently!
