About Sonia
I am a Canadian school teacher with plenty of experience with tutoring. I work remotely and majority of my work is private tutoring. I have helped many students prep for their entrance examinations into a variety of private schools. I have experience working with students with ESL spending one year living and working in South Korea. I obtained my teaching degree in Australia where I spent two years working in two schools teaching children ages 4-12. I have tutoring experience in Portugal, spending a great deal of time on the basics of reading, writing and listening. Fostering students creativity with a number of different writing activities. I have a great passion for what I do and I have much experience working with many different students from all over the globe. I always look forward to receiving a new student.

I am patient and consistent with my work. I aim to ensure every learner reaches their maximum potential and leaves the lesson feeling confident. I love to engage students with relevant material, allowing for better retention and understanding. I understand that each student is capable of learning and that we all learn in different ways. It is up to me as the teacher to discern what method is best suited for the students learning needs. I ensure a productive and engaging lesson, where the student feels more confident in their work as well as communicating with me.
