About Emily
Hi, I’m Emily! I graduated from Dartmouth College and am currently completing a post-baccalaureate pre-medical program as I prepare for medical school. Alongside my academic background, I have hands-on experience working as an EMT and behavioral health technician in clinical settings, where professionalism, communication, and quick critical thinking are essential every day.
I understand that EMT courses can feel intense and overwhelming at times, especially when balancing large amounts of information with practical application. Because of this, I strive to create a learning environment that is patient, encouraging, and judgment-free. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence over time.
I take tutoring seriously and come prepared, organized, and committed to each student’s progress. Whether a student needs ongoing academic support or focused exam preparation, my goal is to help them feel more capable, confident, and prepared both inside the classroom and in real clinical situations.

Hi! My name is Emily, and I’m a Dartmouth graduate, certified EMT, and current post-baccalaureate pre-med student preparing to apply to medical school. I have experience both in emergency medicine and behavioral health, which has helped me develop strong communication skills and the ability to explain difficult concepts in a calm, supportive, and approachable way.
My tutoring approach is highly personalized and focused on building both understanding and confidence. I believe students learn best when they understand the “why” behind concepts rather than simply memorizing information. I like to break down challenging material into manageable pieces, use real-world EMT scenarios to reinforce learning, and adapt sessions to each student’s individual learning style.
A typical lesson may include reviewing class material, practicing patient assessment and medical terminology, working through NREMT-style questions, strengthening test-taking strategies, and identifying areas that need extra support. I also help students develop study habits and organizational strategies that are especially important in fast-paced EMT courses.
What sets me apart is my combination of academic rigor, real clinical experience, and supportive teaching style. As someone currently continuing my own education in medicine, I understand firsthand how stressful and demanding healthcare courses can feel. My goal is to create an encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and gaining confidence in their abilities.
