About Me: Hello, my name is Laura. Je m'appelle Laura. I'm a total foodie and love cooking and tasting new dishes. My favorite subject in school was science, so I often combine kids' English lessons with topics like biology, geology, or astronomy. My Lessons and Teaching Style: My class will give you confidence when speaking, reading, and writing. With adults and higher-level students, I focus on complex grammar and creative thinking within the English language. I challenge my students to practice discussion-based communication and perfect their pronunciation. With kids and lower-level students, I focus on teaching simple sentence structure and useful, but fun, topics. I tailor my lessons to my students' interests, helping to keep everyone excited for class and eager to learn. I live in Canada and have previously lived in the USA. I have both online and offline teaching experience, having been an online teacher for about 6 years now. I specialize in teaching kids, special education for those with learning disabilities, admissions essays for western universities, and helping prepare students for proficiency tests. I teach all levels and have found fun and engaging ways to help my students, particularly kids, focus.

Perfect! Learning with Laura has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for improving my English. She creates a relaxed and engaging environment where I feel comfortable speaking freely, and her feedback is always clear, kind, and incredibly helpful.
