About Mario
I have a Master's degree in Exercise Science from Texas A&M University-Kingsville. I am a Certified Exercise Physiologist Through ACSM. I was hired as a Graduate Assistant during the 2 years of my graduate program. As a GA, I helped with labs and homework, proctored exams, and taught classes for any professor that needed the help.
I became an instructor for a weight training and condition course for 2 semesters. I taught 5 courses during this time. As an instructor and a Graduate Assistant, I gained a lot of experience explaining topics to students and became extremely familiar with implementing the use of technology. It taught me to speak clearly and focus on the important aspects of any given topic.

I am 22, which helps me with communicating and relating to students close to my age. Being an instructor, I have seen both sides and know what is needed for students to thrive in a classroom. I approach topics in a patient and friendly manner, and allow students to show how much they have progressed. A lesson with me will usually involve the student trying to explain or show me an example of the topic. This is done to determine where we stand and how much is needed to achieve a certain understanding. I am not afraid to take different teaching approaches because I understand not all students learn the same way.
