About Mark
I was born in California and studied both in California and Hawaii. My educational background is in secondary education, music, theater, and exercise sports science. I have also lived in the Philippines for cumulatively four and a half years for service and academic projects. From the mountains of Baguio and Ifugao to the lakes of Laguna, I have traveled to learn about the Philippines and want to share this unique cultural heritage with both Filipinos and Filipinos-at-heart.

Mark is a very passionate and experienced instructor. He has lived and trained in the Philippines, and is a strong proponent in correctly teaching the technical and historical background of the Filipino Martial Arts. I highly recommend training with him!
He helped me understand basic concepts in arnis before. These are technical stuff that I really appreciate learning because it helped me understand body mechanics and how to possibly use them to my advantage. Mark is a very patient and passionate teacher. It doesn't matter what level you are; he always does his best to simplify things so you can understand easily. Plus, he loves sparring too, so the application of each lesson is always fun :)
