About Nasyithah
Hi, I'm Nasz Yusuf, a certified PPM-DBP translator and language tutor (B. Ed. (Hons.) TESL) with a heart for literacy and the humanities. My goal is to make learning to read and write feel natural and engaging for young learners. I don't believe in a 'one size fits all' approach. I use phonics for English and Malay, but I switch to the syllable method (suku kata) for Jawi to respect how the language is traditionally built. I also focus heavily on writing habits, helping kids build the muscle memory they need to write clearly and confidently.
Beyond the classroom, I have a deep interest in Islamic Psychology and the social sciences. I love translating complex spiritual ideas into clear, everyday language. I also use Canva to design my own teaching materials, ensuring they are both visually engaging and easy to use. Currently, I am balancing my work as a freelance specialist with my role as a family caregiver; a rollercoaster that has taught me more about patience and resilience than any classroom could.

My lessons are designed to be active and engaging, focusing on the two pillars of literacy: Sound and Movement.
The Sound (Reading): I use a proven Phonics approach for English and Malay, and the Suku Kata (Syllable) method for Jawi. This ensures learners understand the logic behind the language.
The Movement (Writing): We don't just copy letters. I guide students through muscle memory training to ensure correct pen grip, letter formation, and fluid handwriting.
