About Lexie
There are many things I love in life, food, spending time in the sun, having some great family time, etc. But what brings me the most joy is my passion for soccer and traveling. I have played soccer for over 24 years. I have had broken hips, grade 3 sprains in both ankles, permanent lifelong damage to my knees, and many more problems that have come from playing this sport, yet I am still out there multiple times a week.
Soccer has taught me that no matter the obstacles that are placed in front of you, through hard work and practice, there is a way to overcome them. It has also shown me the value of not just working and pushing myself as an individual, but how to work with a team by relying on them when I need help and supporting them when they do. It has also taught me how to be coachable.
In soccer, there is always room for growth and always something new to learn. This mindset has carried over to my personal and professional life. I am forever a student of my surroundings, learning new things to help not just myself, but those around me be successful and happy.
When I am not rocking my pair of cleats coaching it up with one of my teams or playing the game myself, you can find me booking a flight to somewhere new. My other passion is to travel. My goal is to travel to at least two new cities every year. I love seeing what each new place has to offer and staying active. There is only so much you can read from a book or off the internet.
Travel is the opportunity it provides to immerse myself in different cultures. I believe that true understanding and appreciation of the world can only be achieved by embracing diversity. By venturing into new territories, I am exposed to different languages, traditions, cuisines, and ways of life. This exposure nurtures my empathy, respect, and open-mindedness, allowing me to break down barriers and build bridges between cultures.
Outside of these two passions of mine, my daily life is spent going to the gym, playing with my two Dobermans, and spending time with my family and friends!
