About Harriet
I am a dedicated, organised and friendly English tutor, determined to help your child attain and strengthen their English skills. Whether they're approaching nerve-wracking exams, looking to increase their competency and fluency in English or need help with their literacy homework, I'm here to offer my expertise and support. I assess each students' progress each week and tailor the next lesson to their individual needs. Lessons with me are engaging, productive and will boost their confidence in no time.
I'm a postgraduate student, having achieved a First Class Honours degree in English Language and Creative Writing from Lancaster University. I also have a Master of Arts in Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia, the first Creative Writing course in the UK and in the top ten best-rated in the world. I'm certified to Teach English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) to any level of English competency.

My lessons are planned and delivered with you, as my student, in mind. I take time to learn how you work best, what your goals are, and the time frame in which you want to achieve them. I strive to teach with a thorough, highly organised approach, aiming for students to understand the material with confidence, but I also do my utmost to make each lesson enjoyable. I love my subject, and it brings me joy to help students to love it too.
I'm able to take on students of any level or age, and typically offer 60 minute lessons, though lessons up to 90 minutes are available subject to a discussion. All lessons are conducted online. Homework each week is available upon request.
