About Jan
I thoroughly enjoy explaining and talking about topics in Finance. A large part of my daily life involves reading, researching, and solving problems in finance, out of personal interest as well as in my professional life.
My specialty is explaining concepts for an intuitive understanding rather than just "how to do it". I am doing this now as I tutored university students and was told I should sign up to Superprof because of how well I can explain topics.

I am offering online tutoring for all university-level financial, investment, economic analysis, and well as CFA topics.
Favourite topics include (but not restricted to):
- Financial markets, Derivatives
- Portfolio Management
- Macroeconomics
- Quantitative/algorithmic Trading
- Valuations
- All CFA topics
A typical lesson could be something like this:
- You tell me which topics/questions you would like me to cover/explain prior to the lesson.
- During our lesson I will explain the concept for you to get an intuitive understanding of it.
- We could go through questions and how to solve them.
Of course, it's not restricted to this. Just ask!
My academic qualifications:
- Bachelors in Finance (distinction)
- CFA Charterholder
- Masters of Data Science (currently studying)
Work experience:
- 2 years as a Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst as FMG
- 1+ years as an Investment Analyst at $35 billion WA Government Investment Fund
