I have taught at the higher education level for nearly 35 years. I also have been a substitute teacher in the Hopkins County (KY) School System. I expect my students to participate and interact with me as well as their classmates to help develop a learning community.

I like to use the Socratic Method whereby I present a situation or idea and let the student respond by giving their thoughts. We discuss information and come to some resolution. In business, you'll discover there may not be a right or a wrong answer. The idea with my method is to have the student present critical thinking which they can justify.
I am patient with students as understanding can take time and not everyone learns in the same way or at the same pace. I have served as a tutor for the Wyzant Company and as a learning consultant providing clear, relevant information or instruction for students.
