About Mia
I have devoted 10 years to teaching chemistry, earning a B.Sc in Chemistry and an M.Sc in Physical Chemistry. My experience spans tutoring, classroom teaching, and mentorship, where I have guided students of all levels to understand complex concepts and build practical skills. My approach integrates theoretical foundations with applied problem-solving, helping learners internalise knowledge while developing analytical confidence.

Chemistry becomes engaging and comprehensible when students can see the relevance of theory through hands-on applications, problem-solving, and analytical thinking. My lessons focus on chemical bonding, stoichiometry, kinetics, thermodynamics, equilibrium, spectroscopy, and molecular interactions. I utilise interactive exercises, illustrative examples, stepwise problem-solving, virtual or real experiments, and guided exploration to help students internalise concepts, develop analytical skills, and cultivate curiosity for scientific inquiry.
Lessons are tailored to each student’s knowledge and goals. Beginners receive structured guidance in basic principles, atomic and molecular structures, introductory calculations, and laboratory safety. Intermediate learners explore reaction mechanisms, titration methods, quantitative analysis, equilibrium calculations, and theoretical understanding. Advanced learners tackle complex syntheses, kinetic modelling, thermodynamic problem-solving, and research-oriented exercises. Regular feedback, structured practice, and stepwise guidance reinforce progress and confidence at every stage.
