About Mike
My fascination with chemistry began with observing the transformations in everyday substances and understanding the principles that govern matter. I pursued a B.S. in Chemistry followed by an M.S. in Analytical Chemistry, gaining deep insight into both theoretical concepts and practical laboratory techniques. Over the past 10 years, I have guided learners through the complexities of chemistry, helping them build confidence, clarity, and a systematic approach to problem-solving.
I believe that chemistry is best learned through interactive exploration, clear reasoning, and practical application. Many students struggle when concepts are presented abstractly, so I integrate hands-on exercises, visual explanations, and real-world examples to make lessons engaging and meaningful. Lessons are customized to each learner’s pace, objectives, and style, ensuring consistent progress and mastery.
Outside teaching, I explore chemical research, laboratory innovations, and practical applications of chemistry in industry. Teaching chemistry is deeply rewarding because I see students develop intellectual curiosity, problem-solving ability, and practical skills. Supporting learners as they grow into confident, knowledgeable, and skilled scientists is the most fulfilling aspect of my work.

Chemistry becomes engaging when learners understand how substances interact, transform, and govern real-world phenomena. My lessons cover core topics including atomic structure, chemical bonding, thermodynamics, kinetics, equilibrium, organic reactions, and laboratory techniques. Concepts are explained through interactive discussion, step-by-step reasoning, visual aids, and practical examples. I focus on connecting theory to experimentation, ensuring students develop both conceptual understanding and hands-on skills.
Advanced lessons explore organic synthesis, reaction mechanisms, spectroscopy, industrial applications, and environmental chemistry. Students are guided in problem-solving, experimental planning, data analysis, and critical evaluation of results. Interactive exercises, lab simulations, and case studies reinforce learning while nurturing analytical thinking. Lessons are adapted to each student’s goals, whether exam preparation, research, or career development, providing a structured approach to mastery.
Chemistry instruction also strengthens reasoning, observation, and analytical thinking. Many students discover confidence in applying concepts to novel problems, interpreting data accurately, and predicting outcomes.
