About Siyun

I am currently a second-year Chemistry student at the University of Oxford with a strong academic background and extensive experience in both chemistry competitions and tutoring. I have a proven track record of helping students achieve significant improvements in their academic performance, particularly in standardized tests like IELTS and GCSE Chemistry.

Academic Background:
- University of Oxford: Second-year Chemistry student.
- A-Level and GCSE: Successfully completed with top grades, gaining a deep understanding of the curriculum and exam techniques.

Teaching Experience:
- IELTS Speaking Tutor: Guided students through intensive practice sessions, resulting in notable score improvements. For example, one of my students increased their speaking band score from 6.0 to 7.5 after 15 days of daily practice.
- GCSE Chemistry Cram Course Instructor: Designed and delivered focused, intensive revision sessions, helping students to grasp key concepts and perform well in their exams.

Achievements in Chemistry:
- Chemistry Competitions: Extensive participation and success in high school-level chemistry competitions, securing gold medals in all competitions since grade 11. This includes experience with a variety of challenges and problem-solving scenarios that test both theoretical knowledge and practical application.

Skills:
- Exam Preparation: Expertise in preparing students for exams under time constraints, focusing on effective study techniques, time management, and exam strategies.
- Subject Mastery: In-depth knowledge of chemistry at both high school and university levels, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for students at different learning stages.
- Personalized Tutoring: Experience in tailoring lessons to meet the individual needs of students, whether they are looking to improve their grades, prepare for competitions, or achieve higher scores on standardized tests.
