About Janine
Fourteen years of coaching have allowed me to refine an approach that balances openings, tactics, and endgames for players of all levels. My methodology centers on calculation and visualization, tournament preparation, positional understanding, and time management. I also focus on blunder checking, pattern recognition, defensive technique, and opening repertoire building. Working with club juniors and improving adults helps me shape a specific curriculum that emphasizes core opening principles and tactical patterns, which often leads to a more structured and disciplined game style as players continue to develop.

"Starting with a diagnostic rating assessment allows us to pinpoint your current standing and immediate areas for growth. This initial evaluation provides the data necessary to build a roadmap for your future development during our subsequent meetings.
Since holding a BA in Cognitive Science from the American University of Sharjah, I have applied scientific rigor to every game review session I conduct for my students. We will examine your past games, identify recurring habits, and replace those patterns with more effective decision-making processes.
