About Angus
I bring a strong commercial finance background alongside recent, up-to-date CIMA experience, allowing me to combine technical knowledge with real-world application.
With over 8 years in FP&A across global organisations, I specialise in margin analysis, forecasting, and business performance. I’ve worked across FMCG, retail, and investment sectors, helping translate finance into clear, practical understanding.
I take a friendly, supportive approach, creating a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence. Originally from New Zealand and now based in the UK, I also bring an open, approachable style that reflects working across different cultures and environments.
My teaching is professional, structured, and focused on helping students succeed in their exams.

I take a practical, exam-focused approach to tutoring, helping students understand how to pass CIMA efficiently, not just the theory. Having recently sat SCS, I’m fully up to date with the current syllabus, exam style, and marking expectations.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, structured around exam technique, question practice, and building clear, concise answers—especially important for case study exams. I focus on deconstructing past questions, improving time management, and developing commercially relevant points that score marks.
I’m particularly strong on case study strategy and OT exam approach, including revision planning and common pitfalls to avoid.
Lessons are aimed at CIMA students at all levels (Operational to Strategic), especially those preparing for case study exams or struggling to pass with confidence.
